HASTELLOY C276 is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available.
 
What is Hastelloy used for?
Given Hastelloy is designed to have outstanding corrosion resistance, it makes a great choice for any moderate to severe corrosive environments where product lifetime is important. It is commonly used for pipes and valves in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
 
Comparing the two alloys, Inconel 625 has a higher chromium content, while Hastelloy C-276 has a higher molybdenum content. This makes them different in corrosion resistance in different environments.
